personality;; While the Hatter is loud, eccentric, and insane like the rest of Wonderland's residents, he's also rather charming, and can be mild-mannered from time to time, particularly when dealing with visitors such as Alice. He is loyal to his friends, especially to Alice, March Hare, and the Dormouse. He does, however have bouts of anger when reminded of how Wonderland fell to pieces without Alice
likes;; Tea, Alice, making hats, add some more here
dislikes;; The past, running out of tea, add some more here

skills and talents;; up to you

history;; So this bit we'll have to work out together because there are some very different versions of him. The original Disney films just had him as a crazy tea-loving hatter that had gone mad with time from the lead and mercury used in making hats. The Burton film originally had him as a fun and loud millner who went insane after the Red Queen attacked the place where he lived and burned the entire village. I am personally leaning towards the first one (especially because the history would be so much easier to organize), in which case basically the entire history is up to you.
When Alice was sevenish, she came to Wonderland and had some adventures, which included having tea with Hatter and the Hare. Eventually she went home, but she often visited Wonderland in her dreams, so she could have continued having tea and adventures with the Hatter during this time. A year later, her family were involved in a fire, and for ten years she was in an asylum. I'm thinking that during this time, she tried to go back to Wonderland, but it was corrupted for her because of her survivor's guilt and her schizophrenic delusions, so although she could have visited Hatter for tea, she might have had scary delusions and eventually stopped visiting him. Maybe that caused him to go mad (or at least more mad than he was)? Like, maybe he was kinda bonkers before, but in a more fun and kooky way. And then when she left and Wonderland became darker (since the land is linked to her thoughts, the crazier she went, the more macabre things got around the place), he himself also got darker.
Now that she's back, we should have lots of gorgeous threads full of feels. I think he could help her recover, and she could help him. And don't worry about finishing him before writing. Just like with Caspian, I wanna have a tonne of threads like right now
~ the jibber jabber of Caly and I plotting what to do with Hatter and we haven't decided, so patience, please! xD
